Maddie Bosack is a fashion retail management student at Columbia College. After one semester at Ohio University, Maddie transferred home to Columbia College Chicago. It was there that she met Andra Lee, her dormitory roommate, fellow retail major and east coast native with an accent to match. A year later, inspired by the work and creativity of her peers, Maddie decided to create a fashion show that would give fashion design students and local designers an opportunity to showcase their work. With Andra on board the two have created Fashion for the Arts. The shows main goal is to bring together the work of many individuals, but also to spark collaboration and networking between creatives, students and industry professionals. They hope to create a domino effect among artists and individuals, passing on ideas and skills by working together with Fashion for the Arts. At just 20 years old Maddie has created an event that serves to bring the art community together and inspire other individuals to create. The proceeds of the show are being donated to Chicago Arts Partnership in Education, an organization dedicated to strengthening education in the Chicago public schools through art, creativity and collaboration.
